Randombooru Twitter Bot

I follow a bunch of twitter art accounts. Some of them are gimmick accounts that post daily art of a character sourced from some image board or art gallery. I automated this type of twitter account through this project sourcing from the gallery danbooru, leveraging its robust tag system to filter and randomly select the correct artworks while dodging suggestive content. This project explicitly runs without twitter's API, using Playwright to automate posting, and cheerio to scrape artworks, successfully running for a year and gaining 3k+ followers on one such account I tried it on.

how did you create the site?
  • I took most UI and design elements https://www.sharyap.com/ and recreated them by hand.
  • The site itself is essentially an observational study using my current React and CSS knowledge.
